Position Description:

We have an open accounting role with the following duties; however, there are always opportunities to develop and add new skills.

DUTIES:

Code Consultants, Inc is seeking a qualified professional to join our Accounting Department. The ideal Project Accountant will have experience with billing and accounting related tasks.

Primary responsibilities for Project Accountant include:

• Set up new projects according to proposals for several billing managers.
• Review and follow contract requirements, special provisions and terms and conditions.
• Prepare lump sum and hourly invoice submissions to clients.
• Perform collection efforts on outstanding invoices. These efforts are primarily accomplished through email and conducted professionally.
• Match payments received with outstanding invoices.
• Assist the administration and accounting team with other tasks, as needed.
  • Examples include AP, Credit Card reconciliation & assist with document preparation for Quarterly / Annual reporting – 1099s, state use tax returns, etc.

Primary qualifications for Project Accountant include:

• 1 – 3 + years of experience in billing or a similar role.
• Possesses exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within an environment with deadlines, and when tasked with multiple duties your attention to detail stays consistent.
• Appropriately handles sensitive and confidential information.
• Performing efficiently in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Working with others within the organization with a positive, helpful attitude; taking ownership of the role and seeking ways to improve processes.
